Spurs team news: confirmed teams, 7 November

Updated 7 November, 11.33am GMT: Rodrigo Bentancur is on Tottenham’s bench at Leeds. Pedro Porro starts, with Dominic Solanke among the substitutes. Tosin Adarabioyo is not in the announced matchday squad despite being available in Friday’s update; no reason for his omission is confirmed here.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin starts for Leeds. Joe Rodon and Noah Okafor are among the substitutes, while Anton Stach is not in the announced squad.

Tottenham: Kinsky, Robertson, Van Hecke, Tel, Gray, Tonali, Fernandes, Kudus, Marmoush, Pedro Porro, Van de Ven (captain). Substitutes: Gunter, Senesi, Gallagher, Maddison, Solanke, Kulusevski, Bentancur, Davies, Williams-Barnett.

Leeds: Trafford, Bogle, Gudmundsson, Muharemovic, Elvedi, Justin, Ampadu, Longstaff, Tanaka, Nmecha, Calvert-Lewin. Substitutes: Zetterer, Bard, Bijol, Rodon, Gruev, James, Wilson, Aaronson, Okafor.

Spurs visit Elland Road on Saturday 7 November, with kick-off at 12.30pm GMT, in their final Premier League match before the international break.

Bentancur returns to contention after completing a three-match suspension following his red card at Manchester United on 10 October. Tosin has also rejoined the group after missing Tottenham’s last two league wins.

Spurs team news: Tosin returns, but five remain out

De Zerbi confirmed the defender’s availability in his pre-match press conference on Friday, saying: “Tosin is available, yesterday he joined the group.”

That gives Tottenham another defensive option for the Leeds trip. At the time of Friday’s report, availability did not confirm either returning player would start. Confirmed selections are recorded in the update above.

Lucas Bergvall, Mykhailo Mudryk and Savio remain unavailable. Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons are also still sidelined, according to the club’s match information.

The update is firmer than the earlier possibility of a double return for Tosin and Bergvall. Although Tosin is back in contention, Bergvall remains among those missing this weekend.

Spurs look to build on their October results

Tottenham head to Yorkshire after taking 10 points from their four October league matches. They followed a draw at Manchester United with wins against Coventry City, Chelsea and Crystal Palace.

That run earned De Zerbi a place on the October Manager of the Month shortlist. Saturday now offers a chance to carry that form into the international break.

Spurs’ official match guide says Joe Rodon is in line to return for Leeds, while Anton Stach and Noah Okafor are doubtful. Those are availability updates rather than confirmed starting line-ups.

Leeds vs Tottenham: Spurs team news, kick-off and TV

The game will be shown live in the UK on TNT Sports 1. Tottenham will wear their purple third kit for the first time in a senior men’s match, with Leeds in their usual all-white strip.

The immediate focus for De Zerbi is how to use the players returning to his squad while covering the absences that remain. Bentancur and Tosin’s availability widens his options, but Friday’s update stops short of naming the side.
