Tottenham confirmed the award on Thursday 8th October. It is Ho’s second win, following the same honour in February last season.
The results behind the Martin Ho WSL award
Spurs began the league campaign with a 3-1 win over West Ham United at Brisbane Road, then took a point away at Liverpool. Their next two matches brought a 7-0 victory at Crystal Palace and a 4-0 home win against Aston Villa.
The club says all seven goals at Selhurst Park came after half-time. That performance also earned Ho the League Managers Association’s Performance of the Week award.
Across the four league matches, Tottenham scored 15 goals and conceded two. Both goals against came in the opening two games, leaving clean sheets against Palace and Villa.

A strong start at both ends
The attacking totals are the eye-catching part of September, but the clean sheets help explain why the Martin Ho WSL award is about the whole opening month rather than one heavy win. Spurs combined scoring with an unbeaten sequence.
The result is 10 points from a possible 12. Tottenham’s announcement describes the team as joint-leading league goalscorers at the time of the award. It does not turn that early position into a forecast for the final table.
Ho shares the credit for the WSL award
In Tottenham’s official award announcement, Ho said: “This award is really a reflection of the work of the players and staff throughout September.”
He praised the players’ quality and consistency and the staff’s daily support. He also made clear that the positive start is not a finished job, saying there is more to come from the team.
For Spurs supporters, the Martin Ho WSL award is a useful marker of the women’s side’s progress alongside the men’s campaign. The month contained four league performances, not an isolated cup result, and the defensive record matters as much as the scoring total.
